Mountain, Lake, and Fairway: Tamarack Resort’s 2026 Summer Season Is Its Biggest Yet

April 29, 2026 By admin Leave a Comment

Tucked into the mountains of central Idaho above Lake Cascade, Tamarack Resort has spent years building toward something ambitious: a true four-season destination where skiing gives way seamlessly to mountain biking, golf, and lake life. The 2026 summer season is the clearest sign yet that it has arrived.

The headline development is the debut of the Tamarack Marina on Lake Cascade, opening May 22nd with 100 boat slips, on-water fuel, a public beach and swim area, and a full fleet of motorized and non-motorized watercraft rentals. It’s open to the public — you don’t need to be a resort guest to pull up, fuel the boat, grab a bite, or simply settle in on the beach. COO Kara Finley put it plainly: “if you need food, fuel for the boat, or are just looking to relax on the lake — we invite you to come down and join us.”

What’s New This Summer

Beyond the marina, several other additions reshape the Tamarack experience for 2026. The Osprey Meadows Golf Course opens May 16th and adds a new 9-hole putting course on the social green — a lower-key entry point for families and casual players alongside what is already one of Idaho’s premier mountain courses. The Tamarack Express lift-served bike park opens the same day as the marina, May 22nd, with extended Friday and Saturday hours running until 7:30 p.m.

The first Aspen Townhomes are also nearing completion and will be move-in ready by early summer, marking the next phase of real estate at the resort for those looking beyond a vacation.

A Summer Calendar Worth Planning Around

Tamarack’s 2026 event lineup runs Memorial Day through Halloween and covers a lot of ground — competitive, cultural, and social.

  • Memorial Day Weekend: Field of Flags installation, fireworks, and the inaugural Pedal, Paddle, & Pint Race
  • June: Northwest Cup Downhill Bike Race, International Yoga Day, Northwest Mountain Challenge Triple Crown Archery Shoot
  • July 4th: Community-built mini golf course and fireworks show; followed by the Big Mountain Enduro race and a Candlelit Concert on the Course
  • August: Inaugural Kid’s Triathlon, 3rd annual Art and Wine Festival, Tamarack Course d’Elegance
  • Labor Day Weekend: 6th annual Bikes, Brews, & Bluegrass Festival
  • Fall: Oktoberfest, Top of Tamarack Race, Halloween Havoc, and the Hard Scramble Enduro

Weekly programming fills in the gaps: Nine & Dine golf evenings, live music, trivia nights, yoga sessions at the Marina and Mid-Mountain Lodge, and weekend barbecues throughout the season.

Golf Worth Traveling For

Osprey Meadows is hosting serious tournament golf this summer, including a U.S. Amateur Qualifier, the Idaho Women’s Amateur, the Rocky Mountain PGA Pro-Am, and the PNGA Senior and Super Senior Amateur. Idaho residents get additional incentive through Local Appreciation Days, with preferred pricing on select dates throughout the season.

Plan Your Visit

Stay & Play and Stay & Golf packages are available now, and with the marina, bike park, golf course, and full event calendar all running simultaneously through peak summer, Tamarack in July is as complete a mountain resort experience as you’ll find in the American West.
