Fly Alliance Opens World’s First Dog-Dedicated FBO at Teterboro Airport

April 9, 2026 By admin Leave a Comment

Fly Alliance is launching Jet Paw Lounge at Teterboro Airport in mid-April, describing it as the world’s first FBO built specifically for dogs and their owners. The facility is designed to replace the noise and unpredictability of conventional terminals with a calm, controlled pre-flight environment for traveling pets.

The lounge includes a shared dog relaxation area and individual soundproofed pet suites of roughly 100 square feet each, separated by size and temperament. Aircraft are positioned directly outside the lounge so dogs and owners can walk straight to the plane without passing through a standard terminal.

Fly Alliance has structured the offering around a network of pet travel specialists who charter flights through the company and sell individual seats to clients traveling with dogs. The lounge is intended to complete that model by providing a purpose-built ground experience to match the in-flight one.

Christopher Tasca, President and Co-Founder of Fly Alliance, said the concept reflects the reality that high-net-worth clients increasingly refuse to travel without their dogs, and that the journey should be designed around that fact rather than simply accommodate it.

The company expanded to Teterboro in 2024 and has been operating in private aviation for seven years. Fly Alliance says it plans to bring the Jet Paw Lounge concept to additional markets, positioning it as a new standard in luxury pet travel rather than a niche amenity.
