Atlys Secures $12 Million in Series A Funding to Revolutionize Visa Application Process

September 21, 2023 By admin Leave a Comment

NEW DELHI – In an exciting development, Atlys has successfully raised a substantial $12 million in a Series A funding round. Leading the investment were renowned firms Peak XV Partners (formerly known as Sequoia Capital India) and Elevation Capital. Additionally, this funding round attracted participation from an array of existing investors, including Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), Musical Duo Chainsmokers, South Park Commons, and Pinterest Founders, among others.

Streamlining Global Travel with Innovative Visa Solutions
Atlys, which was founded in 2021, has quickly become a game-changer in the travel industry by creating a digital platform aimed at simplifying the visa application process and enhancing the overall experience for travelers worldwide. This funding milestone marks a significant step towards realizing their vision of hassle-free and efficient visa processing.

“We believe every Indian should have the opportunity to travel anywhere without the burden of complex visa processes. Atlys can help Indians get visas on time to over 100 countries and has reduced the time for applying for a visa to under three minutes,” stated the company.

Empowering Travelers in a Digital World
As the world increasingly shifts towards electronic visas (e-visas), Atlys is at the forefront of this global transformation. Presently, over 60% of countries have already embraced e-visas, with many more planning to follow suit in the near future. Atlys is leading the way by providing a world-class solution that empowers travelers to seamlessly apply for visas from anywhere in the world, ensuring they receive their visas promptly.

Mohak Nahta, the Founder of Atlys and an avid traveler himself, initiated this venture after experiencing firsthand the cumbersome, unpredictable, and traveler-unfriendly visa application process. Recognizing the need for a digital solution, he set out to create an app that eventually led to the launch of Atlys.

“Our unique selling point is transforming a process riddled with anxiety into one with certainty. By leveraging over a million data points, we’re able to predict when you’re going to get a visa, reduce visa rejection rates, and we have built the tech to make that happen,” explained Mohak Nahta.

Aim to Eliminate Uncertainty and Simplify Visa Applications
Atlys aims to eliminate the uncertainties, extensive documentation requirements, and high visa fees associated with visa applications. This traveler-centric solution offers a visa guarantee within a committed timeframe through its user-friendly app and website. Impressively, 99.2% of visas are delivered on time, highlighting Atlys’ commitment to reliability. The company has also established partnerships with governments to facilitate visas and assist in reducing overstays.

Paving the Way for Effortless Travel
“Travel is a rapidly growing category in India, seeing strong momentum post-Covid. Over 10 million new passports are being issued in India every year, adding significantly to the base of travel enthusiasts from India. Visa application remains a critical pain point for travelers, and Atlys is building a next-generation platform to transform this process for global travelers and reimagine international travel. We’re thrilled to join Mohak and his team on their mission to enable travelers worldwide to experience travel with greater freedom,” expressed Shraeyansh Thakur, Principal at Peak XV.

Mayank Khanduja, Partner at Elevation Capital, added, “Atlys’ commitment to removing visa-related barriers aligns with the growing aspirations of Indians to explore the world. We’re excited to join Atlys on its mission to transform the visa application process and address broader travel-related challenges in India. Their strategy to offer a new age visa service that’s economical, risk-free, and data-driven will encourage the swift adoption of more efficient procedures.”

A Vision Beyond Visas
In addition to revolutionizing the visa application process, Atlys envisions addressing numerous other pain points associated with international travel. These encompass areas like credit for travel, remittance, and travel insurance, offering a comprehensive solution for modern globetrotters.

With this significant Series A funding, Atlys is poised to continue its journey towards making travel more accessible, efficient, and enjoyable for travelers worldwide. Stay tuned for more exciting developments as Atlys transforms the way we explore the world!
